The In Land Transportation of Iron Ore along The Chaopraya River port to Koh Srichang Zea port is both economical and environmentally friendly. 

A barge is a flat-bottomed boat, built mainly for river and canal transport of commodity. 
Some barges are not self-propelled and need to be towed or pushed by towboats. 

In fact, a single barge can hold as much cargo as 3,000 - 8,000 Metric Ton. Towboats also 
offer greater fuel efficiency than other modes of transportation, and as a result, they allow for cleaner air and reduced emissions.

As iron ore contains lumps of varying size, the biggest being more than 1 metre across and the smallest about 1 mm. 

The blast furnace requires lumps between 10 and 40 mm, so the ore must be crushed to reduce the maximum particle size.
